Air Handling Unit Refurbishment
Often reffered to ass an 'AHU' an Air Handling Unit is equipment designed to distribute and condition air in conjunction with heating, ventiliating and air conditioning systems or HVAC.
The device is constucted mainly of a large metal box which uses blowers, heaters or cooling elements. The air handling unit is generally fitted to exisiting ductwork that runs through the building sending conditioned air throughout and back again.
Other types of air handling units include a makeup air unit which uses 100% of the air outside and conditions it. This air handling unit does not use re-conditioned air in its process.
Some air handling units are positioned outside on roofs and are called packaged units (PU) or rooftop units (RTU).
